2021 Spring Juniors Baseball

 

Who is eligible to play?

Any children that are Little League age 13 & 14.  Please see the 2021 Age Chart to check your child’s LL age.

What size field do the Juniors play on?

The Junior program utilizes Field #1 at Atlee LL.  The juniors division uses 90′ bases and a 60’6″ pitching distance.

What teams will the Junior team(s) play?

The hope is to have enough interest that we have multiple Juniors teams at Atlee LL.  This will provide us with maximum scheduling flexibility.  We are also working with other local Little Leagues that are interested in a Juniors program such as (Mechanicsville, Ashland, Central Chesterfield, Chesterfield, Tuckahoe, Huguenot, etc).

How is 2021 different than previous years?

Usually, Atlee LL combines the Junior and Senior programs into one division (13-16 year olds).  Due to the cancellation of local middle school baseball, we wanted to provide another opportunity for middle school aged boys to play baseball this spring.

What days/nights will the Juniors team(s) play?

We are planning on the Junior teams to practice and play only on weekdays.  This will provide the opportunity for those kids that also play weekend travel baseball to still do both.

Will there be All-Stars at this level?

While we don’t know at this time if COVID will cause any changes to the District, State, Regional and World Series tournaments, we fully intend to play the season with the hopes of putting together an All-Star team at the end of the year that will compete in the Juniors International Tournament.
