Below you will find answers to some common questions in regards to league age
Q. Can my child participate in a division higher/lower than his or her league age?
A. In most cases, yes. However, there are certain divisions due to Little League regulations that we cannot allow certain ages to play up or down. For example, a 13yo player cannot play down into the Majors division of Baseball/Softball. These regulations will also not allow for a league age 10 player to compete in the Intermediate division of baseball. In order to participate in a division outside of little league regulations, please contact the league president , to begin the waiver process. All waivers must be approved by the Little League Charter Committee.
Q. Will the registration system allow me to register for a division in which is higher or lower than the league age of my child?
A. No, the registration system will only offer divisions applicable to your child’s league age. In order to make available a different division than what is being offered on your account, a request must be made to our Player Agent.
Q. Will my child be afforded the opportunity to participate on post season teams if my child participates in a higher or lower division of baseball or softball during the regular season?
A. Yes. Your child will be afforded the same opportunity as any other child. Your child’s name will be placed on the all star ballot(s) for which he/she qualifies for under the league age charts above. No selection guarantees are made by their placement on the ballot. All players will be selected by the terms under the 2018 Atlee Little League Rules and Regulations.
